Introducing Tritan™ Copolyester: Durable, Biocompatible and Chemically Resistant

The clear Copolyester used by Injectech is proudly supplied by Eastman Chemical Company. Eastman’s Tritan™ Copolyester is a tough, clear polymer that delivers best-in-class chemical resistance and biocompatibility. It has excellent solvent bonding, adhesive bonding and welding, as well as low extractables.

A key advantage of Tritan™ Copolyester over other thermoplastics is an outstanding ability to withstand aggressive medical disinfectants, powerful oncology drugs, drug carrier solvents such as DMSO, adhesives, and lipids. Eastman Tritan™ is made without bisphenol A (BPA), halogens or ortho-phthalate plasticizers (DEHP).

Gamma sterilization

E-beam irradiation

Unlike many other polymers, Tritan™ does not suffer color shifting or loss of properties following non autoclave sterilization methods such as gamma or electron beam (e-beam) radiation.
